This image shows our Tekcel 3D router running a program that is applying a finish to a foam former. You can see that the first roughing stage has left raised areas that have a step finish. These will later be transformed into domes just like the area that the tool is now on. Once the milling procedure had finished, this foam former was used as a plug that glass fibre composite was laid onto. We can cut pretty much any shape on the router and we are not limited by the size of the machine. Below, you can see a model of an unmanned aerial vehicle. This model if full sized and measured over 4m long and 4m wide. Fibrefusion were instrumental in the construction of this model and it was exhibited at the Farnborough Air show by British Aerospace.
