At Fibrefusion, we are proud to sponsor the University of Nottingham Sailing Club and support the next generation of high-performance athletes. This pride was on full display at the Oxford Top Gun Invitational on 24th and 25th January 2026, where Nottingham Green competed against eight of the top university teams from Britain and Ireland.
Competing in challenging high-wind conditions across three intense round robins, the team delivered an outstanding performance to secure a podium finish in third place. They were also the highest-placed team to qualify for BUCS, marking a significant step forward from last season’s seventh-place finish and their absence from finals the year before.
This result reflects the dedication, teamwork and resilience within the squad. We look forward to continuing this momentum as Nottingham Green and Yellow compete in the BUCS Midlands Qualifiers on 7th February.
